The 2023 National Gingerbread Competition Kicks Off Near Black Mountain, NC
It’s that time of the year again when bakers, artisans, and confectionery enthusiasts from all over the nation come together to showcase their extraordinary talents. Are you ready to join the challenge in creating an enchanting gingerbread masterpiece? Gingerbread enthusiasts of all ages will gather this November to show off their most spectacular decorating work, competing for thousands in cash and prizes. The annual National Gingerbread Competition event is held a short drive from Black Mountain, NC at the historic Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville.
The Competition will welcome first-time judge, Yolanda Gampp. Also known as the “Beyonce Of Cakes,” Gampp is a celebrity cake artist, judge on Fox’s Crime Scene Kitchen, two-time bestselling cookbook author, and a co-Founder of How To Cake It, the #1 online baking education company in the world. The entire judging panel will recognize top ten in all age divisions and six entries with the esteemed Chef Nicholas Lodge awards, introduced last year.
Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a first-time participant, this cherished event promises to be a delightful celebration of sugar artistry and festive joy. Monday, November 27, 2023 – Tuesday January 2, 2024; After 4pm on Sundays, anytime Monday – Thursday. Exclusion dates include December 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 and January 1. All Fridays and Saturdays are reserved for registered resort guests and those that have confirmed dining reservations.
