Foothills Watershed in Old Fort, is launching a vibrant new live music series that’s quickly becoming a must-visit event for locals and visitors alike. Hosted by McDowell County native Jordan Laney of Slow Down Sound, this exciting lineup brings together top-notch local and regional talent to create a welcoming, community-centered concert experience.

Whether you’re a fan of bluegrass, old-time, or Americana roots music—or simply looking for a relaxing evening outdoors—Foothills Watershed is the place to be.

August Lineup Highlights
August’s schedule features award-winning artists and beloved regional acts, including:

  • Momma Molasses

  • Highway Bound (Reunion Show)

  • Mama Said String Band

Guests are invited to listen, dance, and celebrate the rich musical traditions of the Southern Appalachians.

  • Most shows run from 6–8 PM

  • Location: Foothills Watershed, 655 Catawba River Road, Old Fort, NC (just off I-40, minutes from downtown and Catawba Falls)

Admission:
These are free, family-friendly events unless otherwise noted. Future ticketed shows will be clearly advertised.

Parking & Accessibility:
Please park in the lower lot and walk up to Basecamp (the large metal building).
A limited number of parking spots are available in the upper lot for guests with mobility challenges. Ramps provide easy access into the building.

What to Bring & Know:

  • Seating is available, but guests are welcome to bring their own chairs or cushions.

  • The venue is BYOB while the in-house brewery is under construction.

  • Non-alcoholic, CBD, and THC beverages are available for purchase.

  • On-site food is available. Please no outside food.

Rain or Shine:
All events are covered, with plenty of indoor space to enjoy the music regardless of weather.
